US Ryder Cup Captain, Corey Pavin has no concerns about Tigers passion for the Ryder Cup, even if he does not choose him for every match next month.
Speaking about his final preparations for the event which takes place in just under two weeks, Pavin said
"We've talked about how many times he wants to play. He said, 'I want to play five matches.' We talked about him not playing as many, and he said, 'Whatever's best for the team.'"
Wood’s, was selected as one of Pavins Captains picks after failing to qualify for an automatic place, despite criticism from some of his motivation and results in international team events.
Woods has played in the Ryder Cup six times, but missed the 2008 competition due to a knee injury. He has scored 11 points form a possible 25, and has won three of his five single matches, and seven of his twenty matches in foursomes and fourballs.
Pavin has spent a lot of time over the past few weeks deliberating over possible pairings, but will not reveal any decisions just yet. He has a list of preferred partners from each player, but has not guaranteed he will stick to them.
The European Team go into next month’s Tournament as favorites.
