PGA Commissioner to meet Singh to discuss doping
Admitted banned substance user Vijay Singh will meet with PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem this week to discuss his confession of having unwittingly used a banned growth hormone.

The Fijian Singh pulled out of last week's Phoenix Open, claiming back problems, but intends to participate in the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Prior to his withdrawl, Singh stated that he had purchased the product from Sports With Alternatives To Steroids for $9,000 along with other products.

"I am absolutely shocked that deer-antler spray may contain a banned substance and am angry that I have put myself in this position," the three-time major winner said in a statement.

"I have been in contact with the PGA Tour and am cooperating fully with their review of this matter."

Since this admission, Singh has refused further interviews or comments to press.

Although his peers including Mark O'Meara and Bubba Watson haven't been shy in demanding a ban or issuing criticism.

Watson said: "I'm not going to take deer antler-spray and find out what it is later. ... I think we should check them for mental problems if they're taking deer-antler spray. That's kind of weird.''

Singh's transgression could lead to a one-year suspension according to rules which state a first anti-doping violation would result in such a penalty.
