Frustrated Woods slams "annoying" media
Tiger Woods took time out to admonish the gathered media ahead of today's Greenbrier Classic, detailing his frustration with their constant questioning during his two year slump from November 2009 to December 2011.

"I have to deal with it in every single press conference," he said. "I have to answer it in post-round interviews—whether it's with you guys or in a live shot [on TV]. You do that for a couple of years, sometimes you guys can be a little annoying."

Seeming back in form, Woods now leads the 2012 PGA Tour in wins with three, having won at Bay Hill, Memorial and most recently on Sunday at the AT&T National at Congressional.

Beating Bo Van Pelt by two strokes, meant the former world No1 moves into clear second spot with only Sam Snead's 82 wins remaining ahead.

"To do it at 36, I feel like I have a lot of years ahead of me," Woods said.

"I've had a number of good years in my career so far, and I feel like I've got a lot more ahead of me. It feels great to get to 74 wins and obviously pass Jack. It's something I'm very proud of."

Next up is Nicklaus's major record and victory at the upcoming Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St. Annes would go some way to proving that Woods was at his best once more.

Will he be able to win the major and really show he's back?

"It's going to be totally different shot-making and prep," Woods replied.

"I'm going to have to start practising some different shots and getting used to hitting the ball a little bit lower, a little bit more flighted.

"It's a totally different game playing links golf. But I still have to have the ability to get the ball up in the air. That's something that we're going to work on."
