Dufner triumphs at Zurich Classic
Jason Dufner made it third time lucky in PGA Tour Playoffs by winning the Zurich Classic, beating Ernie Els on the second hole of a playoff Sunday at TPC Louisiana.

Dufner would have felt as if the South African was breathing down his back as Els took him to the wire, matching the American's 19-under 269, and shooting a bogey-less final round to take the match to a play-off.

And Dufner was not to be denied this time after losing playoffs last year to Mark Wilson in the Phoenix Open and Keegan Bradley in the PGA Championship.

Almost sinking a 19-footer on the replayed 17th, missing by a margin of 2 inches, Els could only watch as Dufner birdied from less than 2 feet for the win, the first in the 35-year-old's career after

''It's always really tough playing on Sundays whether you're in lead or middle of pack, and today I was fighting, trying to win event, and I think I showed myself a good bit out there,'' Dufner said. ''It was tough. Ernie made a great run at me and it felt like with five or six holes (to go) we were probably going to be battling for the win.

''To get the monkey off of my back, it's a great feeling.''
